[GRADUATES WITH CALLER DICK RUETER ON THE LEFT.]
LIVE HEALTHY, KEEP YOUR MIND SHARP,
RELIEVE STRESS AND EXERCISE WHILE YOU ARE HAVING FUN!!!!!
The second Wednesday in September from 6:30-8:00pm at the Knights of
Columbus Hall, 1114 American Blvd, Bloomington, MN we start new
dancer lessons. Calls are learned in sequence and the caller makes
square dancing exciting and fun. You will be amazed that you will
be dancing the first night. The cost of the lessons is as follows:
The second Wednesday through the last Wednesday in September the
lessons are "free." Beginning October it will be $3.50 per night or
10 lessons for $30.00. We offer special family rates. Casual dress
attire is acceptable.
Square dancing is walking to music. It is done in couples with
teams of four standing on four sides of an imaginary square.
Normally you walk three to four miles and burn 300-800 calories per
night. The best part is you don't realize you have walked that many
miles and are exercising at the same time. You can't dwell on
worries when you are concentrating on the calls. You dance to all
kinds of music like country, classic rock, gospel, oldies and many
current hits.
Lifelong friendships will begin by square dancing as you become part
of the square dance family. It's the world's greatest social mixer
using the non-alcoholic stimulants of "Fun and Fellowship". It's a
great activity enjoyed by all ages and nationalities. It is a
wonderful activity for singles, couples, teens and families. Square
dancers come from all walks of life including CEO's, secretaries,
machinists, nurses, doctors and many other occupations. Square
dancing is called in English all over the world. What a great way
to dance as you travel!!!
If you can walk, you can square dance. Come and join us for a fun
Wednesday evening!! Thanks and will see you soon!!
